OneGreatFamily Tip: How To Change Your Privacy Settings
Determine How Much Is Shared About Your Family Tree
We've all heard horror stories about identity theft, so if you're like most of us you are worried about internet security. Fortunately, in your OneGreatFamily tree you can protect your information and your family's information.
To adjust your privacy settings, click on "File" in Genealogy Browser and then click on "User Preferences." The "User Information" box will pop up. Click on the tab that says "Privacy." There you will be able to change your account settings, including hiding the data for individuals under 18 or hiding the data for all living individuals.
Keep in mind that changing your privacy settings changes the information that can be seen by other users in your family tree. You'll still be able to see all the information on your account.
